Intelligence Analysis

A t the end of each intelligence activity there is always an activity of analysis of the results obtained. Intelligence analysis is the real added value that is created at the end of a long chain of activities and consequent intelligence “evidences”, all useful for composing a unitary “scenario”, like many pieces of a puzzle. The task of the intelligence analyst is precisely this: to compose the puzzle, using interlocking all the elements obtained during the intelligence activity, variously developed.

T he end result will be the answer to our initial question.
Like any intelligence analysis activity, we are faced with a predictive process. Like all forecasts, therefore, it is serving a degree of approximation that will be the lower than the quality of the intelligence activities performed will be the higher.
Intelligence analysis is therefore the final result of a cognitive process from which it is possible to extract useful and certain elements for the preparation of a forecast.
